Lord, I pray for this man. I pray for this father, for this husband. I know he wants to be like You, God. I know he wants to be a father like you’re the Father. He can hear You speaking to him but he doesn’t know how to answer. His convictions are strong, but his flesh is strong too.
It’s hard to surrender to something you can’t see, Lord. It’s definitely hard to follow Your voice when the world’s voice seems so much louder. He’s discouraged. He’s weary. I know he feels like he doesn’t know where to go next.
Father, help him become the Spiritual Leader that You would have him to be. Teach his wife how to encourage and support him. Direct his children down a path that will be a blessing to his walk with You. Help him lead a life that is pure and holy. Give him wisdom to make decisions – whether small or large – that are led by You.
Give him an understanding of Your ways so that his children will learn, too. Lead him, Lord, so that he can lead his family. Supply his strength to follow You even when the world disappoints him. Show him the love and discipline from the perfect Father so that he can learn to love and discipline like You.
I ask these things in Your name, God.
Amen.
