gettin’ pretty!

FINALLY!  The house is gettin’ pretty!

The floor is officially down…

Many many thanks to Daryl’s mom, dad and brother for helping us lay flooring!

The kitchen cabinets and doors are all painted and re-hung!

I started scoring this wall and yelled “QUICK!  DARYL!  I’m WORKING! Grab the camera!”

See?  I do work.  Quite hard, actually.

We had to remove the sheetrock and cut away part of the studs to get our super-deep microwave to fit.

But it looks stunning!

Daryl’s wasp-nest-spraying getup.  Bahahaha…

But, we took turns looking ridiculous that day.  I feel the need to go put on an uber feminine dress and curl my hair when I look at this picture.

Once again, all the doors are in the living room waiting for paint.

And we had a pretty stunning sunset that night.  This is the view from our front yard!

See?  Daryl walked out the front door and said “Oh…wow…”

And promptly started playing basketball.

I adore this picture!  Look at James cheering him on!

Aaahhh…the doors are ALMOST done.

A few of them need one more coat, but we ran out of paint.  Great planning, self!

All the kitchen cabinets are back where they go!  Well, okay actually that one in the middle of the floor isn’t where it goes.  But it’s close.

LOVE how the cabinets turned out!  We still have to remove that board over the top of the window, put the drawers back in, and reassemble the lazy susan.

My office, a.k.a. storage room.

Tools, toys, super cool vintage mirror-on-a-stick, shelves, cabinet doors, saloon doors, bug spray, and a laundry basket full of cleaning supplies.

James’ room still doesn’t have a light, so he improvises.

Aaaannndd I’ll finish this off with a look at my typical outfit on a work day.  Yikes.
