Coupon Sites [a directory]

One of my New Years resolutions is to learn how to coupon shop (and actually DO it). Since I’m hesitant to start mega-shopping before we move (more shopping now=more to move), I’ve been scouting out all the best resources and coupon websites and trying to get organized.

So, here it is! My grand collection of coupon shopping resources!  I hope it helps someone (:

(Note: I use a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.5.8 – running Firefox 3.6.8, Google Chrome 8.0.552.28 beta, and Safari 5.0.2 – and printing to an HP Officejet Pro L7500 via Bluetooth.  If you can get any of these coupon printers to work using the MacBook Pro and my OS, please do me a favor and e-mail me with your solution!)

Printing Coupons

MySavings.com
MySavings.com is (so far) my favorite coupon printing site. Signing up feels a little scammy because of all the “offers” you have to click through, but they honestly do have some really decent coupons and you can print them all at the same time. On top of the coupons, they also offer a “Free” section with offers from companies giving stuff away for free – some to be shipped to you, some to use in person at the store.
Bonus: Their coupon printer is really simple and actually works! Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t ever get the coupon printer from Coupons.com to work.

SmartSource.com
SmartSource is another one that actually worked for me – in Chrome and Safari (Firefox needed some kind of Java thing that I couldn’t find).  It looks like they have all the coupons that Coupons.com has (which is great for me because, like I said, I can’t get Coupons.com to work).

Shortcuts.com
Shortcuts.com uses SmartSource, so the printer works for me! They have a pretty charming interface but (I think) have the same coupons as SmartSource.com, so I’ll probably just stick to SmartSource unless I want a coupon in mass quantities.

CouponNetwork.com
CouponNetwork is another good one – they have a lot of coupons but no “select all” option, which would make it a little tedious if you do want to print all of them.  I have no experience at this so I don’t know how wise it is to print all of them at once, but the other sites do offer that feature.

Oh, and I found CouponNetwork through Target’s coupon website, here.

Did you Know?
Many many stores that offer “store cards” also now offer the ability to load coupons onto your card to swipe when you’re checking out! Example, check out Dillon’s digital coupons here or the awesome website Cellfire here.

RedPlum.com
RedPlum was a little frustrating for me – it’s another one that I can’t get to work on my computer. In Chrome, it loads an “Oh, Fudge” error page which was only funny the first two or three times I saw it.  In Firefox and Safari it just tells me my coupons will be printed and they never print.

They don’t really appear to have any coupons that the others don’t have, so I’ll stick to SmartSource and MySavings, I suppose!  Feel free to give them a try though, I know lots of people have great success with this one and Coupons.com too.

Coupons.com
Like I said, my #1 complaint with Coupons.com is – no matter how many times I download and “install” their coupon printer – I can’t get it to work in any of my browsers. If you can get it to work, they have a huge selection of coupons to print, all searchable and able to print at once. Again, IF you can get it to print. I sincerely hope none of you who try it have the same problems I have! They also have a whole bunch of online coupons for retail websites (under Coupon Codes)…everything from free shipping, taking a certain percentage off certain products, and beyond! I sure wish I could get those stinkin’ coupons to print. They used to offer some kind of “mail me my coupons” option but I can’t find it now.

Pillsbury.com
Sign up for “My Pillsbury” and get access to coupons (brand specific, of course) and recipes (I was excited to see a “Cooking for Two” section of their recipes, since 90% of the meals I make are just for two). You can also add the recipes to a list of your favorites and it generates a shopping list. Pretty neat!
(Note: I had the same trouble printing coupons with any browsers from this website as I did from Coupons.com and RedPlum. I’m thinking it must be powered by one of them?)

Kelloggs.com
Kellogg’s coupon section is powered by RedPlum.com, and – while they do offer some pretty good coupons – I had the same trouble getting them to print from Kelloggs.com. They do have more than just coupons though – promotions, sweepstakes, mail-in rebates, recipes and more!  Sign up for an account with them and get access to all that and some great nutritional information.

Other Brand Sites Offering Coupons
Purina,General Mills, Earth’s Best, Seventh Generation, Very Best Baking (Carnation/Nestle), Nestle, Pfizer (Advil/Alavert/Centrum), Coffee-Mate, Febreze
(Do you know about one I haven’t listed? Email me at webmaster [at] southernmother [dot] com and let me know!)

Mailed Coupons

Sales/Ads

ShopLocal.com
ShopLocal looks like SUCH a great resource! I had considered subscribing to the paper for the sale ads (well, and the coupons of course, which are Coupons.com coupons and don’t work for me!) but ShopLocal has all the ads online where I can just go through them digitally. I’d probably rather have the physical ads, but just in terms of finding the sales to save money, this will work just fine!
