30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 weeks

Size of Baby: From head to heel, 15.7 inches. (:

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m only up 14lbs! We’ll see how long this nice slow weight gain keeps up…

Maternity Clothes: I’m only wearing maternity pants, but I can wear some non-maternity elastic waisted shorts and non-maternity tops. I broke down and ordered maternity tops from Old Navy but hate nearly all of them – they’re HUGE!

Gender: As far as we know, she’s still a GIRL!!!

Movement: I can sit back and watch my belly jump around. She’s had the hiccups two or three times, and I keep feeling a tiny hand or foot swoosh along the inside of my stomach. This is the only part of pregnancy I will miss!

Sleep: I’m sleeping pretty horribly. I use a body pillow between my knees and sleep mostly on my side, but I wake up frequently to roll over because my hips and pelvis are sore. Only 10 more weeks!

What I miss: Being able to exercise and not feel like I’m gonna pass out.

Cravings: Mexican food, cupcakes, candy and Wendy’s fries dipped in their ranch dip.

Symptoms: Kicks & wiggles, fatigue, weight gain, swelling, nausea…

Best Moment this week: Well, I’ll tell you what was definitely NOT the best moment this week…I had the glucose test for gestational diabetes on Monday, and it was terrible. Fasting, a migraine, drinking that nasty glucola syrup and wanting to puke, then we got to the office and they informed me they had changed my appointment time to that morning and I had missed it. Then, as I’m getting blood drawn for the glucose test (since I’d already drank that nasty stuff and I really didn’t want to have to do it again) they informed me that I had to get another rhogam shot that day (which burns like hades) so we had to wait even longer for that because it takes at least an hour (but ended up taking 2 1/2 hours) to “make” the shot with my blood. All in all, we were at the hospital from 1:10 until 4:30 where we thought we’d be in and out in a matter of 30 minutes. It was a frustrating day!
